And just like that, HBO Max has officially confirmed a Sex and The City reboot. Based on a book of the same name by Candace Bushnell, the hit TV series fist premiered in 1998, lasting six seasons before being followed by two Hollywood films. Directed by Michael Patrick King, Sex and the City: The Movie, premiered in 2008 with the sequel Sex and the City 2 trailing behind in 2010. It’s been over a decade since we first checked in with our favorite Manhattan girl squad. Sarah Jessica Parker, who portrays protagonist Carrie Bradshaw, took to Instagram to express her excitement of her character’s return to the small screen. Back in January Parker shared a short clip with ta caption imitating her character’s signature writing style, “I couldn't help but wonder... where are they now?" Imitating her character’s signature writing style. Since then the internet has been in an uproar. Fans have been impatiently awaiting the series high expectations. Well we have answers. Some filming takes place in Paris.
Sarah Jessica Parker and actor Chris Noth, who plays Mr. Big, were spotted filming in Paris at the Pont des Art in October.
Molly Rogers is the costume designer.
Sex and the City has is a fashion phenomenon thanks to Costume Designer, Patricia Field. However, due to a previous obligation to Netflix original comedy-series, Emily in Paris , Field is passing the torch to Molly Rogers who worked as her assisttant on the original series, telling People “It was her time to shine.”
Half of the Writers are non white.
While King is still the showrunner, TVLine reports that half of the writer’s room is non-white. Not wanting to repeat the mistake of telling the story from an all white perspective, he invited Rachna Fruchbom (Fresh off the Boat), Keli Gogg (Black Lightning), and Samantha Irby (Shrill, author of We are Never Meeting in Real Life) to join he and veteran SATC writers Julie Rottenburg and Elisa Zuritsky.

Chris Noth (Mr.Big), David Eigenburg (Steve Brady), and Evan Handler (Harry Goldenblatt) will all reprise their roles as the lovers to our leading leadies, though we are not sure what the dynamic between Carrie and Mr. Big will be this go-round. But what else is new?
Cynthia Nixon directs an episode
Nixon shared via Instagram that she sat in the director’s chair for an episode stating, “It’s been a complete dream to work with my beloved co-stars and crew in this new role. I have truly never felt so supported in my life. (And don’t worry, Miranda is still going to be in the episode- it was surreal to do both at once!)
Sara Ramírez is Che Diaz.
Non-binary, queer comedian, Sara Ramírez, who is most known for her role as Dr. Callie Torres on Grey’s Anatomy is another addition to the sequel series. Starring as Che Diaz, she hosts a podcast where Carrie often makes an appearance.

Already coined by some as “The New Aidan” actor John Tenney appears to be Carrie’s newest lover.
