Hedi Slimane Says Goodbye to Celine

Heidi Slimane says goodbye to Celine. After more than 7 years as the French luxury fashion house’s creative and image director, the designer steps down from the brand after bringing sales to 2.8 billion dollars in 2023. This made Celine LVMH’s third largest fashion brand with only Louis Vuitton and Dior being ahead. “Under his creative and artistic direction, Celine has experienced exceptional growth and established itself as an iconic French couture house,” said a Celine rep in an official statement on Wednesday. There is much speculation that Slimane exit comes in pursuit of an eponymous brand. He was appointed creative director after six years at Saint Laurent. Though, I’m still a bit salty about him dropping the accent over the “e” I am excited to see where he goes next.
